Der Tagebau kommt auch bei uns immer näher, Luftlinie 4 km, vom Garten aus kann ich die Bagger sehen.
Heute zufällig gesehen das der Bagger nah an der Abruchkante stand wo man noch dran kann.

Die sind jetzt die Autobahn 44 nach Aachen am umlegen, weil ein Teil der A61 weg gebagert wird, ob sich sowas lohnt.
Hier mal ein auszug aus Wikipedia:
Nach Abbau der Braunkohle soll das verbleibende Restloch im westlichen Teil des Tagebaues zu einem See umgestaltet werden.[17] Ab 2045 sollen etwa 40 Jahre lang rund 60 Millionen m3 Wasser jährlich aus dem Rhein in das Loch geleitet werden. Dieser See wird bis zu 185 m tief sein, eine Fläche von 23 Quadratkilometern besitzen und eine Füllmenge von 2 Milliarden Kubikmeter Wasser aufweisen. Die Fläche des Sees wird fast so groß sein wie das Steinhuder Meer in Niedersachsen, aber bis zu 60-mal so tief.
